10 best tapas bars in Zaragoza

We love food and hanging out with friends. After travelling for many years, I think gastronomy in Zaragoza has a high quality for a fair price. We are going to tell you where we go with our students. These are our favorite bars in town.

Nearby our Spanish Language School is our number one, it name is la Taberna el Sardi. It will surprice you the first time, the second, the next and the penultimate. Outstanding. They have a wide range of wines, I love the leeks cake (pudin de puerros). Number two is La Tabernita. It has a local ambient with a cuban touch. All fresh and high quality. I always have the battered anchovies (boquerones rebozados).

In the city centre Bodegón Azoque, at a side street of Paseo de la independencia. Always high quality food, it is good to have something at the counter or in the restaurant. Their fish and meat is always fresh and tasty. My tapa is foie toast (tostada de foie).

Not close to the city centre and leaving the turistic places we find Mesón Martín. They are quick, kind and have a large variety. Lot of things to try.

Off the beaten track, in the Almozara neigboourhood you have el Cervino. Good, good, good tapas freshly made for you.

At a side street of the popular Santa Marta square we have a classic you can´t miss. If I were on the green mile waiting for my last meal I would order squid balls (albóndigas de calamar). Its name is Los Victorinos.

In the most popular place in town, el tubo, we love La Miguería. Always kind, they have a variety of local wines. this is the place to eat bread crumbs (migas) with chorizo, grapas, black puding or other options.

Near the shooping are of  las damas, El Bula Tapas is always crowded, I wonder why.  the Bula toast of iberic loin (tostada Bula) is my sin. I confest.

At the end of Valencia aveniu there is a legend, Bar Montesol. Its battered prawns are world famous (gambas rebozadas) and if you drink a half paint of bear (caña), you have the perfect apeticer.

Finally, on your way to the main park of the city (el parque grande), in Sagasta we have La Tabernilla de Sagasta. all is really good but I always have the Ferrero black puding ball (ferrero de morcilla).
